Dear Parent/ Guardian
We have received the good news that Cabra Community College has been included in Round 4 of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Programme.
We are one of only four Dublin schools that are included in this round.
This national initiative is designed to improve safety at school entrances and to promote active travel among students.
The aims of the project are:
-
To provide “front of school” treatments which will highlight the school’s presence and encourage lower speeds and more attentive driving. Primarily, this will be achieved through signage, road markings, crossings and/or bollards.
-
To expand the amount of cycle and scooter parking available at schools.
The first step in the programme is a parent survey that we would like as many parents as possible to complete. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete. It will be sent to all parents via text very soon.
